Howdy Folks! My name is Maxwell Babcock and I am a professional actor from Pottsville Pennsylvania who loves the world of creativity and entertainment. I hope you enjoy your time on my page!
A little more about me: I grew up in a rural area of Pennsylvania. I am neuro-diveregent (Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and perceive the world around me in a unique way. I love to make people smile and laugh whether it be through jokes or fun stories about my life. I love history, science-fiction, and comedy. Due to my upbringing I am very socially conscious and wish to use art to help bring awareness and work through many issues. I have been able to take part in 12 different productions and several competitions/showcases. Over this time frame I have been able to work with so many amazing people in every aspect of the theater world, and have be given ample opportunity to flex some creative muscle.
My mission as an actor is not only to entertain the audience, but to also tell important stories that provoke and prod the creative parts of the audience’s mind. Being able to benefit the community but placing important social topic and themes on stage is absolutely important
Musical Theater
Having performed in several musicals as well as taking five years of voice lessons has allowed me to appreciate musical theater.
Straight Plays
Working with many straight plays has allowed me to appreciate the importance of good writing and strong ideas. Whether it be classical, realistic, naturalistic, experimental, or contemporary a good play is a fun to perform
Directing
Through some great opportunities in college I have been able to learn and experiment with the art of directing. I have found it immensely joyous and fulfilling.
